An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

You Can Beat the A-Bomb, the 1950 Cold War atom bomb radiation educational documentary short ("A timely short feature"; "The picture that may save your life!"). This was not the first documentary about atomic energy and atom bombs, but the earlier couple of documentaries focused solely on the negative aspects, and how deadly atom bombs and the resulting radiation were. This documentary did not overlook that aspect, but it spent much of its time discussing the positive aspects of nuclear energy, including how radiation was already in people's lives (through X-rays and radium dials on watches), and it stressed that there were many other positive uses for atomic energy that were being developed, and that it would change people's lives for the better. This "timely short feature" was released through RKO to movie theaters in 1950, and movie paper on it is incredibly rare!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet is the very first movie paper item we have had from this documentary! Also note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm].

Condition: good to very good. There are pinholes in the corners and small paper loss in the top right blank corner. Someone put paper tape on the back of the top left corner and on the front and back of the top right corner, to cover the paper loss in the blank borders. There is tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases and scuffs on the folds. There are tiny pairs of staple holes around the edges and a few within the image.
