An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Show Girl, the 1928 Alfred Santell New York City Broadway theater stage acting dancing musical comedy ("Novel by J.P. McEvoy";"From the story by J.P. McEvoy"; a wacky story of a Brooklyn girl who moves to Manhattan to become an actress and gets involved in all kinds of things including a fake kidnapping, but she finds romance with a reporter and success on the stage) starring Alice White, Donald Reed, Lee Moran, Charles Delaney, Richard Tucker, Gwen Lee, and James Finlayson. Note that, as was typical at the time, the characters in this movie are very "ethnic". The star character's name is "Dixie Dugan", and the people she goes to work for are named "Eppus" and "Kibbitzer", and the kidnapper is named "Alvarez", and her boyfriend the reporter is named "Jimmy Doyle"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. The slide is in wonderful condition! Learn More about condition grades
