An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Penelope, the 1966 Arthur Hiller New York Greenwich Village bank robbery crime comedy ("She's PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT #1"; "That's Penelope - the slick stick-up chick... And she's leading the merriest men on the hottest chase from safe to sofa."; "... The world's most beautiful bank-robber"; "Attention! Put your hands in your pockets. If you find anything missing... Penelope probably took it!"; "From the novel by E.V. Cunningham"; about the bored wife of a bank executive, who robs $60,000 from his bank!) starring Natalie Wood (in the title role as Penelope), Ian Bannen, Dick Shawn, Peter Falk, Lila Kedrova, Lou Jacobi, and Jonathan Winters. Note that Natalie Wood's character is described as being "schizophrenic", because she essentially is two people, one a bored housewife, and the other a kleptomaniac who masterminds a major robbery. Edith Head designed a "Schizophrenic Wardrobe" for Wood, so that she could more clearly portray two separate people trapped in a single body! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still likely has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has the letters "TRR". One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that 146 of the stills in this set of auctions come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of almost his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! We said earlier "likely has", because while this collector stamped most of his stills, he did not stamp every one, so you can see for yourself if this is one of the stamped ones by looking at our image of the back of the still. Each of those stamped stills are stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: very good to fine. There are a few tiny creases in the blank borders. Learn More about condition grades
