An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (11x14; LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Smashing the Vice Trust, the 1937 Melville Shyer exploitation melodrama (apparently, a pseudo-documentary expose of the vice business, although it is likely the viewers of this movie had less than noble interests in watching it!) starring Willy Castello, Veola Vonn, Augusta Anderson, John Belmont, and Selmer Jackson. Note that this movie was re-edited by director Shyer into "Confessions of a Vice Baron" in 1943. Melville Shyer spent many years in Hollywood working as an assistant director for 143 mostly low-budget movies between 1930 and 1962, and in the 1930s and 1940s, he directed seven low-budget exploitation movies like this one. His son, Charles Shyer, has had major success as a Hollywood director, directing such movies as The Parent Trap, Father of the Bride, and Baby Boom! Condition: very good. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back of the card! Learn More about condition grades
