A Set of 3 Limited Edition Mondo Art Prints (with art by Olly Moss; 351/400; measure 24" x 36" [61 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Star Wars is an epic space opera franchise created by George Lucas in 1977. The first film in the series, Star Wars (which was later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope) was released in 1977 and became a worldwide phenomenon. It was followed by The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, and Return of the Jedi in 1983 (these three films are considered "the original trilogy"). The "prequel trilogy" (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones & The Revenge of the Sith) was released between 1999 and 2005. In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm and they began to release new Star Wars films including: The Force Awakens, Rogue One, The Last Jedi, Solo and more!. The series has spawned books, television series, video games, comic books, toys, and many other products. Artist: Olly Moss Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned a set of these three Mondo art prints in our December 2020 "special all-Mondo" auction, and they sold for $12,000 for a set of 3, and we also had the three individual prints separately, and those sold for $4,650, $4,200, and $3,350. None of those six prints had the same limited edition numbers. The set we are currently auctioning was purchased by a lucky (and wise) collector in 2010, when these were first issued, and these DO all have the same number, which is 351/400! Since many of the people who purchased a set later sold them individually, it is quite difficult to assemble a set of all three that have the exact same number, as this set has! Condition: fine. Our consignor purchased these when they first came out (see above) and kept them in excellent condition. Note that the Star Wars print has a tiny red mark in the right solid black area that is in the printing and is on all examples of this poster. Learn More about condition grades
