An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Prairie Trails, the 1920 George Marshall silent romantic cowboy western comedy sequel ("A complete and thrilling sequel to The Texan"; "Story by James B. Hendryx") starring Tom Mix, Charles K. French, Kathleen O'Connor, Robert Walker, Gloria Hope, Sid Jordan, Harry Dunkinson, and William Elmer. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Also note that the Robert Walker credited above was NOT the Robert Walker who starred in the 1940s and 1950s, but a different Robert Walker who started making movies in 1913, and he appeared in an amazing 255 movies through 1953, a 40 year span, but most of those were westerns, and a lot of them were very minor roles, often uncredited. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this 1920s Tom Mix movie is extremely rare. Prior to being consigned this half-sheet, we had only auctioned a few lobby cards and a single one sheet, and the one sheet was 18 years ago! Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: fair. The poster has areas of paper loss in the top and bottom borders. Two of them extend into the gray border area but they do not extend into the image. There is a triangular water stain in the top center of the image and water stains in the left of the top border. There are some tears around the edges. There are two vertical tears in the poster, one down much of the right side of the image, just to the right of the girl's shirt and the other goes through the clothes of the man on the left. The poster has darkened and is fragile. It can certainly be restored, but bear in mind its very significant defects (and the cost of restoration) before bidding on this poster.
