A Group of 251 Photographic Negatives (each measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2", and most are in uncut strips of 4) (Learn More) Lizabeth Scott (born Emma Matzo) was an actress from the 1940s to the 1970s. She is best known for her roles in 1940s film noirs, often with Burt Lancaster. She was one of many beautiful young actresses who was signed to a personal contract by Hal Wallis, and he orchestrated her career, as he did with many others! Some of her movies include: The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, Dead Reckoning, The Racket, Loving You, and Pulp. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 92. Important Added Info: Note that these negatives are contained in two large paper envelopes. One of them has a small piece of paper in it with numbers from some of the negatives written on it, and there is a date stamp on that piece of paper that says "DEC 14 1953". Since Miss Scott's movie "Bad For Each Other" was released on December 24, 1953, we are certain that these images were created in conjunction with this movie. Also note that this (or these, in the case of multiple negatives) was created by and sent by the studio that produced this (in the year noted on this auction) to newspapers, magazines, TV stations, or reviewers, so that they could use them to create the highest quality ads. They can be used to make very high quality reproductions, but bear in mind that we are solely auctioning the physical negatives and NOT the right to reproduce them, so unless they are public domain, the new owner must acquire the rights elsewhere before reproducing them. NOTE THAT THE ITEM YOU ARE PURCHASING IS A "NEGATIVE" THAT HAS A REVERSE IMAGE, AS SEEN IN OUR PHOTO (we also scanned them as well, using a special "negative setting", which reverses the image, so that you can see how the negative appears when you reverse the image, but the buyer of this auction will receive one or more negatives, NOT a positive image, as seen in our special scan). In the case of this lot, because there are so many negatives, we only scanned 14 of them (in four strips of 2 to 4 negatives each), but the winner will receive ALL TWO HUNDRED FIFTY ONE negatives. Note: We have 12 images of the negatives in this set, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 12 images are displayed above.
