An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Ne'er Do Well, the 1916 silent Panama romantic adventure comedy melodrama ("Rex Beach's powerful novel", "Ten reels of concentrated action and heart pull"; about the wild son of a wealthy father whose father adopts the extreme solution of having his son shanghaied and sent to Panama in the hopes it will make a man of him, and after many adventures, it does, plus he wins the heart of the daughter of one of the country's leaders!) starring Kathlyn Williams, Wheeler Oakman, Frank Clark, Harry Lonsdale, Norma Nichols "and an All Star Cast". Note that the movie was released by "The Big 4" (Vitagraph, Lubin, Selig, and Essanay), and that it was "by arrangement with Sol Lesser" (you probably know of Sol Lesser from his 1930s low-budget movies, but he started in 1915, as an owner of theaters who got into producing movies!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: very good. Someone put clear tape over the black tape on two borders. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Learn More about condition grades
