An Original Vintage Theatrical 9 1/2" x 11 3/4" [24 x 30 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Apachenrache, 3. Teil - Die verschwundene Million (released in the U.S. as "John Hopkins III" and other English-speaking countries as "John Hopkins The Third"), the 1921 Wolfgang Neff German silent crime detective mystery melodrama starring Harry Frank (in the title role as John Hopkins), Curt Cappi, Fritz Falkenberg, Preben J. Rist, and Bela Lugosi. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that this still, which is printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock, measures 9 1/2" x 11 3/4" [24 x 30 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Our consignor feels that it is likely that Lugosi received this deluxe still directly from the studio during or shortly after filming due to the lack of any studio stamps on the back of the still. Also, we think this still is likely from the U.S. release, but it could also be from the English release. Lugosi is shown in it playing the accordion on a ship's deck with a bunch of sailors and a girl in a sailor suit. Late in his life, he gave most of his photos to his great friend, producer Alex Gordon. Our consignor purchased this deluxe still directly from Alex Gordon, but he has no "certificate of authenticity" (but we believe his story to be correct).

Condition: very good. The still has creases in the top right blank corner and a few smudges around the edges.
