An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 1/2" x 9 3/4" [19 x 25 cm] Stage Play Still (Learn More)

George Sidney (born Sammy Greenfield) was a Hungarian-born actor from the 1920s to the 1930s (and he also appeared on the Broadway stage from the 1910s to the 1930s). He is probably best remembered today for his co-starring role in the very popular series of movies starring "The Cohens and the Kellys", opposite Charles Murray. Sidney passed away in 1945 at the age of 69.
Important Added Info: Note that the back of this photograph has a stamp that reads "Photograph by Bachrach, We must insist that the above credit line is given under every photograph or a charge for every publication not bearing this credit line will be made.". Of course, this is Ernest A. Bachrach, who became one of the absolute top studio photographers of the 1930s and 1940s (primarily at RKO). This is one of the earliest Bachrach photographs we have ever seen. Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 1/2" x 9 3/4" [19 x 25 cm].

Condition: good. The still may have been slightly trimmed. It appears it may have been a sort of early "key book" still, because there are two partial punch holes in the top center and the top 1" was folded back at one time (see our images).
