Note that there is an unusual element to this movie, which is that Elia Kazan had Warner Bros. buy the rights to this classic novel, and then he essentially junked around 90% of it, focusing on a small section of the book! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a very interesting display. Someone was doing some kind of event and they created this display as being from 1955 (they also made others from other years), and for this display, they used a nice mat and attached the best lobby card from "East of Eden" to the top cut area with tape from the back, and an excellent color still to the bottom mat cut area, also with tape from the back. One could carefully remove the still and lobby card from the back, or certainly, I would think many people might choose to leave this display as it is, because it will make a great display on anyone's wall! Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. If it is a size that might ordinarily be rolled in a tube (like a half-sheet), the reason it is in this auction is specifically because we feel it either CAN'T be rolled or because we feel it would be a mistake to roll it, because it might well damage the item. In the case of the few items that could be rolled, we will roll the item in a tube if the new owner insists, but only if they accept that they can't return the item if it is damaged from being rolled. So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: good to very good. The lobby card and still had some faint creases and smudges, but were in pretty nice condition prior to being taped to the back of the mat (see our image).
