An Undated (probably 1930s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Serenade, the 1927 Harry d'Abbadie d'Arrast (billed as "H. d'Abbadie d'Arrast") silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("Genius or Great Lover?"; "Story and screen play by Ernest Vajda"; about a pretty woman who is married to a famous composer, and he cheats on her, and she disappears, and when he goes to look for her, he thinks he finds her in the arms of another man, but actually she was teaching him a lesson!) starring Adolphe Menjou, Kathryn Carver, Lawrence Grant, Lina Basquette, and Martha Franklin. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that these are two-color lobby cards for this movie. There were full-color cards that are surely from the first release. We believe that this is an early re-release, from the late 1920s or early 1930s. We have seen other Paramount cards like this and in some of those, one of the stars' billing increased to reflect their greater fame, which guarantees they are re-releases. In this case, Adolphe Menjou was the star of the movie in 1927, so his top billing on these cards does not prove anything, but since all the other cards like this have been re-releases, we think it is a certainty that these are as well.

Condition: very good. The cards are in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind!
