An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

The Crawling Eye (released in England as "The Trollenberg Terror" [see below for more info]), the 1958 Quentin Lawrence English horror science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("The nightmare terror of the slithering eye that unleashed agonizing horror on a screaming world!"; "Warning - if you've ever been hypnotized do not come alone"; "A man dissolves... And out of the oozing mist comes the hungry eye, slave to the demon brain!"; "A DCA release, the company that brought you 'Rodan'"; "Waiting! Watching! Wanton! None can escape this slithering terror spawned from a nuclear hell lusting for another taste of human blood... maybe yours!") starring Forrest Tucker, Laurence Payne, Jennifer Jayne, Janet Munro, and Warren Mitchell. Note that, based on English newspaper theater ads from 1958 and a 1958 English trade ad, it's very likely that "The Trollenberg Terror" was only shown on a double-bill with "Call Girls" in England, and individual promotional material was not created.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have auctioned only one in all our years of auctioning and that was 15 years ago! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has a diagonal scuff mark that extends from the art of the left portion of the eye through Jayne's legs and green dress, and there are some diagonal smudges at left of the green dress. It has a few smudges and light scuff marks in the right blank border but otherwise the rare half-sheet poster is in generally nice condition.
