A Folded Italian Travel Poster (measures 31 3/4" x 42 1/2" [81 x 108 cm]) (Learn More)

Rathauskeller: Der Stadt Bozen (literally translates to "Town Hall Cellar: The City of Bolzano"), the 1920s Italian travel poster encouraging (in the German-language) people to visit a winery/restaurant in the Italian city of Bolzano (the capital city of the province of South Tyrol in northern Italy). Town halls often had a separate dining room, usually in the cellar, where guests were invited for food, drinks and events. Note that this poster features Albert Stolz artwork of the coat-of-arms of Bolzano, along with a young boy and an well-dressed old man squeezing grape juice into a large cup.
Artist: Albert Stolz
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster has several tears of varying lengths around the edges with some border loss at upper left and each of the tears is backed by conservation tape. There is much separation at the center horizontal fold and portions of the lower vertical foldline, and those have been backed by brown tape. Still, though, the art is "all there" and after proper restoration it will look fantastic, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
