An Original Vintage Exhibitor Brochure (measures 3 1/2" x 6 1/4" [9 x 16 cm]; 4 pages when folded as intended, measures 7" x 12 1/2" when unfolded) (Learn More)

MGM 1932, the 1932 exhibitor brochure featuring images and information about current and upcoming movies from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, such as: The Champ, Mata Hari, Possessed, Freaks and more! What exactly is this brochure, and how was it distributed? We don't know for sure, but we do know that while MGM, like the other major studios, made elaborate campaign books in the 1920s, they stopped at the end of the 1920s and they apparently did not make any large size ones until 1934, when they made a 1934-1935 large campaign book. At the same time, in 1930, they began to make "mini campaign books", which are small booklets that measure 4 1/4" x 4 3/4", but contain pages that look exactly like what would be in a large campaign book. So we suspect that this small brochure was something that they also made in place of large campaign books, and this could have even been a supplement to one of those mini campaign books, although it is not the same size. It was printed on a single 7" x 12 1/2" sheet which was folded twice to create four "pages". Since we have never seen even a mini campaign book from 1931-32 or 1932-33, it is possible they didn't even make those in those years, which was, of course, the height of the Depression! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this exhibitor brochure!

Condition: very good. There is slight discoloration on the front, but otherwise, the brochure is in pretty nice condition!
