Artist: Vidal Important Added Info: Note that this Mexican poster measures approximately 27" x 37" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had tears and small areas of paper loss across the top foldline and down the top half of the vertical foldline. There was a fairly large area of paper loss in the left of the top foldline (approximately 1" x 3"). There were a couple of holes in John Wayne's credit at lower left. There were some tears, creases, pinholes, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. The person who linenbacked the poster did a pretty good job restoring the above defects, but you can still see signs of the restoration of the missing piece at the left of the top foldline, and also the restoration in the rest of the top foldline and in the top of the vertical foldline Learn More about condition grades
