Le Monde Libertaire (literally translates to "The Libertarian World") is a French weekly newspaper, published in France as an organ of the Federation Anarchiste. First published monthly in 1954, the name refers to a previous newspaper launched in 1895 by Sebastien Faure and Louise Michel. The FA fights for a free, classless and state-based society based on social equality, where the collective or individual possession of the means of production and distribution precludes exploitation of the labor of others. In this society, equality of birth, means of development and education is essential in all areas. The social organization revolves around the free federation of producers and consumers, made and modifiable according to the will of their components, the free union of individuals, the absolute right for all individuals to express their opinions. The FA advocates the abolition of wage labor and all state institutions and other forms of oppression that maintain the exploitation of man by man, which implies the fight against religions and mysticisms, even if they are hiding under the cloak of science , against nationalism and for the fraternization of all human groups, and the abolition of borders. It is the whole society that the anarchists of the FA want to rebuild on a basis of respect and mutual aid , not for an individual, a class or a party, but for all individuals; the social question can only be solved definitively and truly at the global level. Following the principle of autonomy of groups and individuals, the Anarchist Federation does not intervene in the strategies pursued by anyone on the local level.
