An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Far Call, the 1929 Allan Dwan Arctic Circle Bering Sea seal poaching romantic adventure melodrama ("Life and adventure at the top of the world"; "Story by Edison Marshall"; about the daughter of the governor of the territory who falls in love with a seal poacher, and he reforms for her, and stops his henchmen from continuing to poach seals, and he becomes a hero) starring Charles Morton, Leila Hyams, Warren Hymer, Arthur Stone, Warner Baxter, and Dan Wolheim. Note that Warner Baxter was born in 1889, and in the early 1920s he rose to prominence in silent movies, becoming a major star of the 1920s, while he was in his 30s. He won the Oscar for Best Actor as The Cisco Kid in "In Old Arizona" in 1929, and he remained a top star throughout the 1930s! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but otherwise it is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
