An Original Vintage Folded Dutch World War II Poster (measures 23 3/4" x 33" [60 x 84 cm]) (Learn More)

50% Der Oorlogsvloot Van de V.S. Van Het Jaar 1939 Werd in 39 Dagen in den Grond Geboord (literally translates to "50% of the U. S. War Fleet of the Year 1939 was Drilled into the Seabed in 39 Days"), the 1943 World War II (WWII) Dutch poster (printed by the Nazi controlled Holland government) promoting the Japanese victories at sea, and featuring art of sunken United States war ships and information about the lost ships. The Nazis were trying to establish how superior the Japanese and German military forces were to those of the Allies, and they produced posters like these in countries they occupied to reinforce that idea.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: very good. The poster has separation in the bottom 8" of the right vertical fold and someone put a small piece of tape on back of that area. There is small separation at the crossfolds and a few small tears on some foldlines. There are some small tears in the bottom border. After a simple linenbacking the poster will look fantastic, or it could be displayed as it is but it is fragile and must be handled carefully.
