An Original Vintage Autographed Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 136 pages) (Learn More)

The Great Gatsby, the 1974 Jack Clayton idle rich romantic melodrama ("Gone is the romance that was so divine"; "Screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola", "Based on the 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald") starring Robert Redford (in the title role as Jay Gatsby), Mia Farrow (as Daisy Buchanan), Karen Black, Scott Wilson, Sam Waterston (as Nick Carraway), Lois Chiles (as Jordan Baker), Bruce Dern ("as Tom" Buchanan), and Howard Da Silva (as Meyer Wolfsheim). Note that there was a 1926 movie based on this classic novel, starring Warner Baxter, that was released just a year after the book was published, and then a remake in 1949 with Alan Ladd in the lead role, and then this version, which was followed by a remake in 2013 with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Important Added Info: Note that this script has been personally autographed (signed) by Dean Tavoularis! Note that this script was the property of Alex and Dean Tavoularis, brothers who are Academy Award winning art directors and production designers. This is one of 21 scripts that were owned by the brothers (they were given them either because they worked on the movie, or they were being considered to work on the movie, or they were being consulted about the movie). Some of these scripts have been signed by either brother, and some are unsigned (see above for which ones are signed and by who). Our consignor purchased this script and 20 others directly from the Tavoularis brothers, and they are offered here, in 21 separate auctions. Also note that this script is the revised screenplay from April 14, 1972 and the screenplay was written by Francis Ford Coppola.
