An Original Vintage Theatrical Jumbo Movie Window Card (WC; measures 22" x 28 1/2" [56 x 72 cm]) (Learn More) Change of Heart, the 1934 John G. Blystone New York City romantic love triangle melodrama ("Together again!"; "Lovers again"; "America's sweethearts are reunited!"; "From the novel 'Manhattan Love Song' by Kathleen Norris"; about four college graduates, two men and two women who are couples, living in Manhattan who have ups and downs, and there are romantic misunderstandings that lead each couple to suspect their mates of infidelity with their best friends) starring Janet Gaynor, Charles Farrell, James Dunn, Ginger Rogers, Jane Darwell, and Gloria Stuart. Note that one of the more memorable bits of trivia about this movie is that Ginger Rogers plays the secondary role of the girlfriend of the hero's best friend, one of the last times she would have such a supporting role, and also Shirley Temple has a small appearance as one of the airplane passengers at the beginning of the movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed by the "Central Show Printing Company" of Iowa. In the 1930s, a constant headache for theaters was being sure of having movie posters for their current releases. Often, the posters would travel with the actual film prints, and sometimes the theater before them might have forgotten to include the poster, it might have been defaced or torn, etc. If a theater didn't have posters, it was very frustrating! Several companies began in the 1930s (Leader Press, the "other company", Woolever Press, The Globe Poster Corp., Central Show Printing Co., etc) that made posters of their own for new releases, and they would provide a back up for theaters in case they didn't get a studio issued poster. In the case of this company, they also made jumbo window cards! It is an absolute fact that posters from these companies are far more rare than the regular studio issued posters. It is also a certainty that these posters were issued when the movies were first released. We have previously auctioned a studio-issued jumbo window card for this title, but never this one from Central Show printing! Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. IN THE CASE OF EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, THE SHIPPING COST WILL BE VERY HIGH, SO PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT THAT ADDED SHIPPING AMOUNT, AND INCLUDE THAT AMOUNT IN WHAT YOU BID (so if you would pay $150, but the shipping is likely $100, then only bid $50). And those who live outside the U.S. and who do not have a U.S. address to ship to SHOULD NOT BID AT ALL ON EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, BECAUSE THEY COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO SEND OUTSIDE THE U.S. Condition: good. The poster has slight discoloration scattered throughout due to exposure to moisture (more so around the edges - see our image). It is otherwise "all there" and could be restored but please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
