Artist: Mitchell Hooks Important Added Info: Note that this is one of eight different incomplete sets of lobby cards (each in their own auction) where the owner chose to have each of the cards linenbacked. This is not often done by collectors, but it is a reasonable way to improve the appearance of cards that need restoration, although many restorers nowadays paperback lobby cards instead. Please bear in mind that these cards have been linenbacked, and that there is a thin strip of excess linen around each edge of the card so while the cards measure 11" x 14" the cards plus the linen measure slightly larger. The cards had writing on the back that bled through to the front in the background areas. Overall, each card was in "fair to good" condition prior to linenbacking. The cards were pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, so bear that in mind before bidding on these cards.
