An Original 1935 (from the first release of this movie in Denmark) Vintage Theatrical Danish Movie Program (measures 5 3/4" x 8" [15 x 20 cm]; 12 pages) (Learn More)

Le Roi des Champs-Elysees (released in the U.S. as "King of the Champs Elysees"), the 1934 Max Nosseck French mistaken identity suicide crime screwball comedy starring Buster Keaton (in a dual role, as a poor down-and-out man, and as an escaped convict, who he is mistaken for!), Paulette Dubost, Colette Darfeuil, Madeleine Guitty, and Jacques Dumesnil. Note that this French movie was only shown twice in the U.S. before it was given a Los Angeles premiere in 2005!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that, because this movie was not released in the U.S. until 2005, and was likely given a limited release in Europe, finding movie paper from it is incredibly difficult. Prior to being consigned this Danish program, the only other movie paper we had ever auctioned were three examples of the Belgian poster, and no other item from any country!

Note that this is one of a remarkable collection of 25 Buster Keaton Danish programs (16 from the 1920s and 9 from the 1930s) we have been consigned (and these are ALL of those programs we were consigned). These programs are beyond rare! To give you a sense of just how rare they are, we have previously auctioned many thousands of Danish programs, and we have NEVER before auctioned even one Danish program from ANY Buster Keaton movie from the 1920s or 1930s! So this is a wonderful opportunity to obtain one or more Danish programs from Buster Keaton movies of the 1920s and 1930s, and it may be many years before we auction even one more such program!
Also note that we have pictured the front and back covers and an interior 2-page spread from this program.
