An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

A Yarn About Yarn. Paul Terry created a different full-color "stock" posters each year in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Each would have a completely different great full-color image, showing many of his top cartoon stars of that year, and there would be a blank center area in each poster. After the color posters were printed, they would overprint a group of the posters with a title of a particular cartoon from that year, and ALSO add a single-color image from that cartoon (unusual for stock cartoon posters), and then they would print another group of the posters with a different cartoon title and image, and so on. The cartoon that was advertised on this particular poster was "A Yarn About Yarn", the 1941 Connie Rasinski Paul Terry animated cartoon short, and the image shows a baby black sheep with its fairy godmother (I wonder if the sheep says "baaa baaa" at any point in the cartoon!)
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
