An Original Vintage Theatrical Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Listen, Darling, the 1938 Edwin L. Marin juvenile romantic comedy ("See it with a song in your heart!"; "A Movie Quiz $250,000.00 Contest Picture"; about a girl who has to keep her mother from marrying a man she doesn't love by taking her in the family trailer to live a life without worries) starring Freddie Bartholomew, Judy Garland, Mary Astor, Walter Pidgeon, Scotty Beckett, and Alan Hale, Sr. Note that this was one of Judy Garland's first movies (she made it right after her appearance in "Love Finds Andy Hardy", and right before she starred in "The Wizard of Oz"). Apparently, MGM was unsure of what to do with her, and after pairing her with Mickey Rooney, they paired her with another great juvenile star, Freddie Bartholomew in this movie. But after Wizard of Oz, she appeared with Mickey Rooney again in "Babes in Arms", and that cemented their pairing, and they went on to be in several more movies together.

Important Added Info: Note that this still is from a special set of "color glos" stills, which means it was printed on a photo type of paper and have a glossier front, with more vivid colors. This is something the studios experimented with in the late 1930s and early 1940s, for both 8x10 stills and 11x14 stills.

Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss in the bottom left blank corner and a tiny pinhole in each top corner. Otherwise, the still is in pretty nice condition.
