An Unfolded Travel Poster (measures 25" x 40" [64 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) TWA: New York, the 1960s aviation airplane airline travel poster ("Fly TWA") encouraging people to use Trans World Airlines (TWA) when flying to New York City, and featuring David Klein art of several landmarks in the city including the Statue of Liberty, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Brooklyn Bridge, the statue of George Washington outside of the Federal National Hall, the statue of Prometheus at Rockefeller Plaza, the Columbus Monument and more! Artist: David Klein Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few tiny pinholes in the lower right corner (two fall within areas of blank white paper and one is in the base of the statue at lower right) and there is a single tiny pinhole in the blank paper area to the right of the boat. It has very slightly unevenly darkened along approximately 4" of the upper edge, where there are also a few creases and faint smudges. There is a small area of surface paper loss in the art of the Prometheus statue at lower right. It has some creases and tiny tears along portions of the upper left blank border and there are some fine creases scattered in various areas. Despite the defects the poster displays pretty nicely as is, and after linenbacking with some minor restoration the poster would look great! Learn More about condition grades
