Auction History Result #3060 ACCUSED 8 8x10s '36 Fairbanks Jr. Date Sold 10/14/2003Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Stills (Learn More) Accused, the 1936 Thornton Freeland English romantic musical dance team courtroom legal lawyer murder mystery trial crime thriller melodrama ("A woman murdered... a woman accused!"; "A murder mystery for women!"; "The beauty of del Rio! The nerve of Doug, Jr.! in a dramatic romance of music and murder!"; about a pair of French Apache dancers who use a dagger in their act, and then a man is murdered with that dagger, and naturally, the male dancer is accused of the murder, which leads to a trial with a sensational ending that reveals the true killer) starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr. (oddly cast as a French dancer!), Dolores Del Rio, Florence Desmond, Basil Sydney, and Googie Withers NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. We are selling thousands of stills this week, and we can't give detailed descriptions of every one. However, we have linked the small image below to a much large image that should allow you to get an excellent idea of the still(s) defects (if any). Please realize that these are original vintage stills (most many decades old), and they will have defects typical of decades old photos. The still(s) in this lot have the following general defects (please also look at the larger image by clicking on the image below): one still has bee folded in half at one time; paper loss, small tears, tack holes, and creases in some of the borders of the stills; minor creases, scuffs, and smudges throughout the stills that are mostly only noticeable when the stills are held at an angle to the light; Note that these stills are slightly "bowed" (they don't lay completely flat). This is common with original vintage stills. The stills could be easily flattened out over time by storing them under weight. Learn More about condition grades
