An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8" x 11" [20 x 28 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More)

The Big Heat, the classic 1953 Fritz Lang crime film noir ("'Somebody's going to pay... Because he forgot to kill me...'"; "A hard cop and a soft dame... in a brass-knuckle thriller!"; "From the shock-packed Saturday Evening Post serial!"; "Vice.. dice ... and corruption!"; "Based upon the Saturday Evening Post serial by William P. McGivern"; this is the classic film noir with Glenn Ford as the tough cop hot on the trail of super-vicious hoodlum Lee Marvin; the movie has the memorable, and at that time ground-breaking and shocking, scene of Marvin throwing a pot of boiling hot coffee in the face of Grahame) starring Glenn Ford, Gloria Grahame, Jocelyn Brando, Alexander Scourby, Lee Marvin, Jeanette Nolan, Adam Williams, and Edith Evanson

Important Added Info: Note that this still was glued to a stiff board after it was printed (this was something done by Columbia during this period, as it has a studio stamp and snipe on the back). It is a key book still, with an extra 1" at the top that had punch holes, but that area was trimmed off. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. It has an extra 1" at the top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic.

UPDATED 02/11/2016: Note that a sharp-eyed collector pointed out that it is Lee Marvin with Gloria, and not Glenn Ford as we initially listed.

Condition: very good. There are creases and tears in the excess 1" at the top, but the still itself is in nice condition.
