An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] English Movie Still (Learn More)

Rich and Strange (released in the U.S. as "East of Shanghai"), the 1932 Alfred Hitchcock English dark romantic comedy (based on the novel by Dale Collins) starring Henry Kendall, Joan Barry, Percy Marmont, Betty Amann, Elsie Randolph, and Arty Ash
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Also note that first release 1932 movie paper from this early Alfred Hitchcock movie is incredibly rare. We have never previously auctioned ANYTHING from this movie until we received this English still, which is a "country of origin" still for this English movie! Also note that this is clearly a candid. It is difficult to see the men on the inside of the tram, but certainly, one of the men in a hat could be Alfred Hitchcock (but perhaps that is wishful thinking). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good. There is a 1/2" x 1" oval-shaped area of unevenness to the emulsion in the left of the top border, but it is mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. There is an extremely tiny bit of paper loss in the bottom left blank corner. Otherwise, the still is in nice condition!
