An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures approximately 30" x 40") (Learn More) One Eyed Jacks, the 1961 Marlon Brando cowboy western ("The motion picture that starts its own tradition of greatness!"; "Based on the novel 'The Authentic Death of Hendry Jones' By Charles Neider") starring Marlon Brando, Karl Malden, Katy Jurado, Ben Johnson, Pina Pellicer (billed as "introducing Pina Pellicer"), Nacho Galindo, Slim Pickens, and Mina Martinez. This bizarre western (which was a fictionalized version of events in the life of Billy the Kid) was, for many years, the record holder for the most amount of footage shot for a single movie. Director Brando apparently shot over 24 hours of footage and his initial cut of the movie ran around 8 hours! Note, too, that planning for the movie began in late 1958 (with Stanley Kubrick as the proposed director), but all the delays, and Brando's endless filming, meant that the movie was not completed until late 1960, and released in 1961. However, some of the movie paper has a 1959 copyright, showing that, at that point, they hoped it would be released either that year or in 1960. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this British quad was folded vertically three times and horizontally three times (this being folded one time more than is sometimes done, but it is quite common with British quads, especially older ones). Because of this, this quad can be sent in one of our standard size flat packages (but if it is purchased together with quads that have not been folded in the same way, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our tubes if the other quads are unfolded, or, if it is purchased with other quads that are only folded once horizontally than it can either be sent in an oversized flat package, OR in a tube). But if this quad is purchased by itself (or solely with other quads that have been folded the same way), then the shipping can be lower, because it then fits in a standard package. But please realize that because this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time it is likely that the creases have diminished and therefore re-folding the poster will likely bring some of those creases back, but we leave that decision as to whether or not to re-fold the poster up to the individual buyer of this item. UNLESS THE BUYER TELLS US OTHERWISE, THIS QUAD WILL BE SENT ROLLED IN A TUBE. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
