An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 142 pages) (Learn More) The Concorde: Airport '79 (released outside the U.S. as "Airport '80: The Concorde", because it was released in 1980, so of course the title needed to be changed!), the 1979 David Lowell Rich airplane aviation disaster thriller ("Even at twice the speed of sound, can the Concorde outrace disaster?"; "At twice the speed of sound, can the Concorde evade attack?"; "A great motion picture tradition... The most exciting of them all!"; "Inspired by the movie 'Airport' based on the novel by Arthur Hailey"; "Screenplay by Eric Roth"; "Story by Jennings Lang") starring Alain Delon, Susan Blakely, Robert Wagner, Sylvia Kristel, and "Guest Starring" Eddie Albert, Bibi Andersson, Charo, Sybil Danning, John Davidson, Monica Lewis, Andrea Marcovicci, Mercedes McCambridge, Martha Raye, Avery Schreiber, Cicely Tyson, Jimmie Walker, David Warner, "And Starring George Kennedy ("as Patroni") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script has many blue pen lines drawn between every section of the script, with notes at the beginning of each section about the location for that shot. There are also three photocopied pages giving information about where each scene takes place, and those have "PHIL" written on the top and bottom of the first page. Therefore, we think it is quite likely that this script would have been the personal copy of cinematographer Philip Lathrop, who would have had great reason to mark all of the scenes in the script in the way described. Also note that this script is from October 6, 1978. Also note that the writers are not credited on this but that the movie credits Eric Roth. Also note that the script has the working titles "Airport '79 - The Concord" and "Airport '79 - Supersonic", but the movie ultimately was called "The Concorde: Airport '79". Also note that there are a multitude of pink revision pages from many different dates from 10/23/78 and 10/24/78 (apparently this script was massively rewritten on those dates, which must have driven the actors crazy!).
