She married to Melvyn Douglas, and afterwards, she became Helen Gahagan Douglas, and later became a two-term member of the House of Representatives. She ran for Senator against Richard Nixon, but lost, but she did get even with him by popularizing his nickname, "Tricky Dick"! She passed away in 1980 at the age of 79. Condition: very good.
