Date Sold 9/6/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Son of the Golden West, the 1928 Eugene Forde silent romantic cowboy western ("Hail! ..... the world's greatest outdoor star!"; "First of the stupendous Mix Super-Serials from FBO"; Tom Mix is a Pony Express rider and has a girlfriend whose father works for the telegraph company and is being terrorized by a gang, and just in the nick of time, Tom arrives with the cavalry to save the day, and he also saves his girlfriend, who is in a runaway carriage, a staple of westerns like this!) starring Tom Mix, Tony the Wonder Horse, Sharon Lynn, Thomas G. Lingham, and Duke R. Lee. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. There are stains around the staples and many smudges on the cardboard, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
