An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Womanhood, the Glory of the Nation, the 1917 J. Stuart Blackton & William P.S. Earle silent World War I (WWI) fantasy propaganda thriller ("J. Stuart Blackton's Soul-Stirring Production"; filmed during World War I, about an enemy attack on New York City, which leaves the city in ruins, but the bulk of the movie deals with the aftermath of the attack) starring Alice Joyce, Harry T. Morey, Naomi Childers, Joseph Kilgour, Malter McGrail, "And an All Star Vitagraph Cast". Apparently this movie was intended to "wake up" Americans to the realities of warfare and that an enemy could attack on their shores (the movie was prophetic, but the attack took place 84 years later!). Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: very good to fine. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. The slide is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
