An Original 1969 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) (Learn More) Kaiju Soshingeki (released in the U.S. in 1969 as "Destroy All Monsters"), the 1968 Ishiro Honda Japanese Toho battling rubbery monster action science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("The horror of every monster known to man ravaging the earth!"; "The Monster are in Revolt... And the world is on the brink of Destruction!"; "'Destroy All Monsters'... The battle-cry that could save the world!"; "Attention cities of the world: Our planet may be doomed.... our earth may be devastated! The monsters are in revolt and civilization is in chaos. New York, Moscow, London and Peking are under attack. What city is next? What nation can survive? Forces of annihilation have been massed against us. Let our common war-cry be heard.... 'Destroy All Monsters'") starring Godzilla, Mothra (the giant moth monster), King Ghidorah, Minilla (Godzilla's son), Rodan, Anguirus, Manda, Gorosaurus, Kumonga, Baragon, Varan (The Unbelievable), Akira Kubo, Yukiko Kobayashi, and Jun Tazaki. Note that this movie combined ELEVEN of the great Japanese kaiju battling rubbery monsters, making it the most amazing "all-star cast"! Artist: Franco Picchioni Important Added Info: Note that for this Italian release, the Italian distributor changed the title to one with "King Kong" in it, and then used an image with a King Kong attacking a funky dinosaur holding a girl in his "hand" (even though the credits are correct for "Destroy All Monsters", which has nothing to do with King Kong!). Interestingly, when the movie was re-released in Italy in 1977, they SOLELY used a giant image of King Kong (likely this was to capitalize on the publicity generated from the 1976 remake of "King Kong" by John Guillermin)! Also note that this Italian two-panel was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Also note that the theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces).
