An Autographed Letter (measures 8" x 11 3/4" [20 x 30 cm]) (Learn More)

Beverly Garland (born Beverly Lucy Fessenden) was an actress from the 1950s to the 2000s. She had married actor Richard Garland in 1951, and she took his name, and they divorced soon after, but she continued to use his last name for the rest of her life. Some of her movies include: D.O.A., Airport 1975, The Desperate Hours, Pretty Poison, and The Alligator People. From 1969 to 1972, she joined the cast of "My Three Sons", marrying widower Steve Douglas, played by Fred MacMurray. When she retired, she purchased a Holiday Inn in Burbank, and many movie collectibles shows were held there! Garland passed away in 2008 at the age of 82.
Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Beverly Garland! She sent a letter from a hotel in Brazil while she was on location making Curucu: Beast of the Amazon. The letter is entirely handwritten by Miss Garland, and is written on the hotel stationery. Also included the envelope this letter was originally mailed in, which had the hotel information printed on it and Miss Garland crossed that out and wrote her name and address in Rio de Janeiro on it (see our images). Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.

Condition: very good.
