An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Richest Man In Town, the 1941 Charles Barton romantic comedy ("Your heart will tell you: 'Here's grand entertainment!'"; "Deep down in all of us... something responds to a story of lovable people!"; about two leading citizens of a small town, the banker and the newspaper publisher, and although friends, they often feud, and that comes to a boil when the publisher prints an "obituary" about the banker, even though he is still alive!) starring Eileen O'Hearn (billed as "Introducing Hollywood's newest discovery, lovely Eileen O'Hearn"), Frank Craven, Edgar Buchanan, Roger Pryor, and Jimmie Dodd. Note that Eileen O'Hearn was prominently pictured on this poster and was billed as "introducing", and yet this was not her first movie! But Columbia thought she was going to be a big star, and she was given strong promotion in this movie and several others, but then her career fizzled, and the following year, she married a Columbia electrician, and never made another movie!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with some pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
