Pathe's Weekly No 64 - '13, the 1913 silent newsreel poster ("London, England - The marriage of Prince Arthur of Connaught and the Duchess of Fifre is a function of the first magnitude at St. James Palace"; "Philadelphia, Pa. - A military parade precedes the rededication of Congress Hall by President Wilson. The historic hall has been restored to its original appearance"; "Dawson, New Mexico - An explosion causes a cave-in and 223 miners are buried behind tons of rock, 4,000 feet from human aid. The list of dead is one of the most appalling in the history of mining"; "Santa Cruz, Cal. - A solid wall of flames, six miles wide, sweeps across the Santa Cruz mountains and threatens the lives of hundreds of residents in this district"; "San Francisco, Cal. - Thousands march through crowded streets in the Tortola Festival Parade that is a marvelous display in point of variety and picturesque costumes"; "Denver, Colo. - The first anniversary of the dedication of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated with much pomp. After High Mass the priests leave the cathedral to attend a banquet"; "New York, N.Y. - A serious tie-up of second, third and fourth class mail is threatened when 130 chauffeurs of the Postal Transfer Service strike without warning and desert their trucks on West 25th Street. Condition: fair. The poster has darkened somewhat and it has creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges. It has blue chalk scattered at center (see our image).
