An Original Vintage Promotional Movie Rating Pamphlet (measures 3 1/2" x 9" [9 x 23 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Unbiased Opinions of Current Motion Pictures, the 1940 promotional brochure featuring the results of film previews sent to various national, state, and city committees. Some of the film reviewed and rated include: Beware Spooks, Ski Patrol, Typhoon, In Old Missouri, Green Hell, and many more! Note that this was a pamphlet that was sent out weekly by the "Fox West Coast Theatres Public Relations Department". They gave "ratings" for each movie which were "J for Juvenile, F for Family, YP for Young People, MF for Mature Family, M for Mature, and A for Adult". It would be around 28 years later before the movie industry would adopt ratings for all movies. If you were wondering whether there was an "X" rating, surprisingly there was, but it meant that the movie had no rating at all! Each issue had ratings for all the current movies, plus reviews of the current movies from well known civic organizations. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
