He had over 70 chart hits, one of these being "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let is Snow!" which is the version that's heard at the end of the first two Bruce Willis "Die Hard" films. He passed away in 1973 at the age of 61. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a wonderful group of sixteen full-color postcards that were created by RCA in the early 1940s. Each features a major musician or vocalist who recorded through RCA, and each of the cards has a wonderful full-color portrait of that individual or group, or each has their name printed at the bottom with an image of the RCA dog and Victrola (see our images).
