An Undated (probably 1930s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Shootin' Irons, the 1927 Richard Rosson silent cowboy western ("A gem of the West, where excitement reaches fever pitch and courageous action wins the right to love"; "From the story by Richard Allen Gates") starring Jack Luden, Sally Blane, Fred Kohler, Richard Carlyle, and Loyal Underwood. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a two-color lobby card for this movie. There were full-color cards that are surely from the first release. We believe that this is an early re-release, from the late 1920s or early 1930s. We have seen other Paramount cards like this and in some of those, one of the stars' billing increased to reflect their greater fame, which guarantees they are re-releases. In this case, Jack Luden was the star of the movie in 1927, so his top billing on this card does not prove anything, but since all the other cards like this have been re-releases, we think it is a certainty that this one is as well. Condition: very good to fine. There is small surface paper loss in the right of the title box, mostly in the background above the "IRO" of "IRONS". There is a tiny dot of surface paper loss near the center of the top of the background area. Other than the above, the card is in wonderful condition! Learn More about condition grades
