This man is The Exorcist."; "Screenplay by William Peter Blatty based on his novel"; nominated for the Best Director and Best Picture Academy Award) starring Ellen Burstyn (in her nominated for Best Actress Academy Award role; as Chris MacNeil), Max Von Sydow (as Father Merrin), Lee J. Cobb (as Lt. Kinderman), Kitty Winn, Jack MacGowran, Jason Miller (in his nominated for Best Supporting Actor Academy Award role; "as Father Karras", and likely playing the title role), and Linda Blair (in her nominated for Best Supporting Actress Academy Award role; "as Regan"; since her possessed voice was dubbed in by Mercedes McCambridge, and since much of her possessed sections involved special effects, some argued she should not have been nominated at all, or that Ms. McCambridge was more deserving of a nomination!)
