Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter from the 1880s to the 1940s. Some of his works include: Farm Building with Bridge, View from the Dunes With Beach and Piers, Dombur, Church in Zouteland, and Fox Trot; Lozenge Composition with Three Black Lines. Note that Yves Saint Laurent created dresses in the block-style Mondrian was famous for painting, and even called these dresses the Mondrian collection! He passed away in 1944 at the age of 71.
