6x870 SOUL OF MAN pressbook '21 epic story of good & bad grandsons, great poster art, rare!

An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 9" x 12 1/4" [23 x 31 cm]; 12 pages) (Learn More)

The Soul of Man, the 1921 William Nigh silent family relationship good-brother/bad-brother greed-is-good romantic melodrama ("The Screens Supreme Success"; about a very rich man with two grandsons; one feels as he does that wealth is everything, and the other believes in leading a good life; the good grandson meets a blind girl and falls in love with her, but his bad brother pays for an operation to cure her and tries to steal her away!) starring J.H. Gilmore, William Nigh, Leslie Austin, Maurine Powers, Elsie de Wolfe, Charles Sutton, and Hal Brown. Note that this movie seems to have been quite the epic in its day (and the director also stars as one of the grandsons), yet there is very little information about it on the Internet, and most of what there is is not accurate! Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
Important Added Info: Note that first release 1921 movie paper of any kind from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single poster or lobby card from this movie until we received this pressbook! Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: very good to fine, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut and is in really nice condition!
