The 2002 Winter Olympics (XIX), the 2002 multi-sport event held in Salt Lake City, Utah, from February 8th to the 24th. Note that this was the year that Norway brought home the most gold medals at 13, and Germany brought home the most medals overall at 36.

Important Added Info: Note that the proof silver dollar (which is 90% silver, and only 4,000 of them were made at the Philadelphia Mint) comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from Henrietta Holsman Fore, director of the United States Mint. The coin is slabbed in a display case with an elaborate holder.
