An Original Vintage German Film Program (measures 7 1/2" x 10 1/2" [19 x 27 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Chiens perdus sans collier (released in the U.S. as "The Little Rebels"), the 1955 Jean Delannoy French/Italian troubled-youths-growing-up-in-a-poor-town melodrama (based on the story by Gilbert Cesbron) starring Jean Gabin, Jean-Jacques Delbo, Dora Doll, Robert Dalban, and Jane Marken. Note that this movie is quite similar to the "Dead End" series of Warner Bros. movies of the 1930s and 1940s, and it seems quite likely that director Francois Truffaut both saw and was influenced by this movie before he made his first movie "The 400 Blows"!
