Gordon Edwards silent Navy military romantic spy espionage melodrama ("Love, intrigue and the high seas"; "Story by Rufus King"; about American ships in the Canal Zone and enemy agents hire a pretty spy to romance the captain of one of the ships into betraying his country; he plays along and leaves his wife, but at the end, he catches all the spies) starring Edmund Lowe, Alma Tell, Betty Jewel, Florence Martin, Martha Mansfield, Bela Lugosi, and Carl Harbaugh. Note that this was Bela Lugosi's first U.S. movies, playing one of the spies. He only appeared in a handful of U.S. movies through the 1920s, and he returned to Europe and made a few movies there, but then he had his great success in the stage version of "Dracula", and he was brought back to Hollywood to star in the film version, and the rest, as they say, "is history"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: fair to good. There is a diagonal tear in the left of the card, extending into the woman's chest at center.
