An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) It Came From Beneath the Sea, the 1955 Robert Gordon ocean monster science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("Out of primordial depths to destroy the world!"; "A tidal wave of terror engulfs the screen!"; "Primordial monster attacks the world!"; "Technical Effects Created by Ray Harryhausen") starring Kenneth Tobey, Faith Domergue, Donald Curtis, Ian Keith, and Dean Maddox Jr. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the back of this card was overprinted with a rectangular patterned border with interior dimentions of 8" x 10". This was commonly done in the 1950s so that old lobby cards could be re-used as "frames" for 8x10 stills. This IS an original lobby card, and since the overprinting on the back does not affect the front (except as described below), most collectors consider it a minor defect. NOTE THAT THIS CARD WAS USED TO DISPLAY AN 8x10 STILL, and when they did so, they used a razor to cut four diagonal cuts in each corner of the card. The cuts are very clean. Two are in the top left and top right of the inset image and the bottom two fall in the lower left credits area and in the lower right border art. There are tape stains next to each of the diagonal cuts. Please do not bid on this card unless you can accept the above defects! NOTE: In this case, the #2 in the title of the sale is not the number of the lobby card. Because we are selling more than one lobby card from this movie this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate the different sales, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, #3, etc..".
