An Original Vintage Souvenir Program Book (measures 8 1/4" x 11" [21 x 28 cm]; 24 pages) (Learn More)

1964 New York World's Fair, the 1964 to 1965 international exposition held from April 22nd through October 18th, 1964 and April 21st through October 17th, 1965. The theme of the fair was "Peace Through Understanding", dedicated to "Man's Achievement on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe". The theme was symbolized by the building of a 12-story high, stainless-steel model of the earth called the Unisphere. Industrial exhibitors played a major role by hosting huge, elaborate exhibits such as General Motors' Futurama, a show in which visitors seated in moving chairs glided past elaborately detailed miniature model scenery showing what life might be like in the "near-future".
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) on the cover by someone, but we are not sure who! It is likely one of the players who played that day, but we don't know who that is. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that we have pictured the front cover and an interior 2-page spread from this program. You can use these images to determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image, but realize that there are some other pages you are not seeing. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to be authentic.

Condition: good. The person who owned the program kept a box score on the game on the two pages provided at the center of the program.
