eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 5a369 LOLA LANE signed cut paper + LC '30s can be framed & displayed together! Date Sold 11/15/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed 1" x 3" Cut Paper. Also included is a lobby card that measures 11" x 14". (Learn More) Lola Lane was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. She was one of the Lane Sisters (three sisters who performed together with Gale Page in a series of movies where they played four sisters). Some of her movies include: Marked Woman, Four Daughters, Murder on a Honeymoon, and Lost Canyon. Note that most people would naturally assume that there were only three Lane sisters in real life, which was why they had to cast a non-sister in the role of the fourth movie sister. But actually, they DID have a fourth sister, Leota, but she had a screen test, and did so poorly that she was sent home (which surely must have made for strained holiday dinners!). Lola passed away in 1981 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that the paper has been personally autographed (signed) by Lola Lane. The paper could be matted with the included lobby card and framed together to make a cool display! Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this lot years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is very likely that the autograph is authentic. Condition: good to very good. The piece of paper appears to be trimmed from the bottom of a letter or album page and it has slightly darkened. The lobby card has a vertical scuff at lower right and paper clip stains in the left and right of the top border. Learn More about condition grades
